About Dato' Dr Abdul Halim Abdul Jalil
Dato' Dr. Abdul Halim commenced his practice at KPJ Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital effective April 2009 as a sessional consultant pediatrician. He is currently Professor of Pediatrics, Faculty of Medicine, Lincoln University College, Petaling Jaya (Pre-Clinical campus) and Kota Baru (Clinical campus). He was formerly lecturer in Pediatrics at the University Kebangsaan Malaysia from 1981-1984 and served as Director of the Specialist and Reproductive Research Centre, National Population and Family Development Board (formerly under the Prime Minister’s Department) from 1984-1990. At the international level he served - on the Executive Board of the International Association for Maternal and Neonatal - in the Senate of the International College of Pediatrics and its associated faculty the - as regional representative of the Commonwealth Association of Mental Handicap - as senior medical consultant and scientist for Fetal Cell Technologies International, Health (1987-1990). International Academy of Pediatric Transdisciplinary Association (1984-) and Developmental Disabilities (CAMHDD) 1984- Inc. (FCTI) for Precursor Stem Cells (2009- ) Dato Dr Abdul Halim obtained his MBBS (Malaya) in 1975 and Diploma in Child Health, Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons, London in 1980. He was Senior Postgraduate fellow in Pediatrics at the Welsh National College of Medicine, University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom from 1979-1981. He also received training at the Wolfson Centre, London in Child Development- Normal and Abnormal and at the Nuffield Centre for Hearing and Speech, London under the sponsorships of the British Council in 1984. He was gazetted as a clinical specialist in paediatrics in 1985 and is registered in the National Specialist Register (NSR 126504).
